  • Phil Dunstan-Brown

    Phil has over 20 years experience delivering potent strategic thinking and design application for many of New Zealand’s best known brands. Phil has worked extensively across MSD and CYF and has been integral in leading DNA’s work with MSD service lines in that time. His ability to get to the core of the issue and communicate with clients is a key strength.

    Phil brings experience across a broad range of roles, including advertising and direct marketing, art direction, brand communications, brand strategy, design and online strategy, implementation and expression.

  • Gil Colcart

    Gill joined DNA in November 2008. She has 15 years experience in the industry, including communications strategy, development and delivery, sponsorship evaluation and brand strategy. Gill has extensive experience in senior agency and client side roles in strategy and management, including for BP and Telecom, and for a boutique marketing agency in Wellington.

  • John Milmine

    John has over 3 years experience in web development. John has a Bachelor of Design and consequently has a strong design sense when developing websites and web applications. John specialises in back-end web development (PHP, MySQL, Apache) and has a particular interest in Silverstripe (an Open Source CMS).

    John's clients have included ACC, NZ Post, Telecom, Helfen, Careering Options, CLV, Icebreaker and Willis Bond.

    Grenville has been in and around design for his whole career. He is currently MD and Creative Director of DNA and splits his time between Wellington and Auckland working as creative/strategist with a range of DNA’s clients. Grenville has been a DNA team member for 18 + years.

  • Josh Burt

    Josh has significant experience in senior client-side marketing roles, managing a broad range of high profile tactical communication programs, with a particularly strong background in the telecommunications sector. This client experience provides Josh ‘duality’ of perspective – understanding the needs and challenges of clients and their audiences, while also knowing how to achieve the best results from his agency colleagues.

    As the senior client service contact across brand strategy initiatives, his role is to ensure smooth, effective and efficient working relationships and maintains a view of all projects.

  • Sherryn Macdonald

    Sherryn trained as an environmental psychologist, and has spent the bulk of her career leading customer insight and research teams in New Zealand and internationally. Sherryn works across multi channel projects for DNA clients. Her approach is mining consumer insights to inform and define customer value based, and goal directed, brand, retail, product development and digital solutions.

    Noel has been providing strategic leadership to DNA since 2000. For 17 years before DNA, Noel was one of the leaders of Formway taking that business from a small local provider to the brink of international success.

    His general business nous, his specific skills managing design led businesses through challenging times as well as his 35 year interest and involvement in things Maori and his background as an educator, mean he broadens the base of talent and experience DNA can apply to clients’ many challenges.

  • Logan Hodgson

    Logan has a proven reputation in Wellington with over 12 years’ experience in leadership, strategy, delivery and support of brand communication, advertising and digital solutions for many public and private sector organisations. Logan is a strong strategic thinker, problem solver and an experienced facilitator.

    His passion is helping clients achieve and exceed their business goals. Logan currently works with DNA clients NZ Post, BNZ, Canterbury University, Icebreaker and Child, Youth and Family.

    Over the past 12 years Charlene has gained an extensive range of experience and knowledge, specialising in Information Architecture and Interaction Design. She has a passion for seeing this area of the industry grow and mature to meet the unique needs of New Zealand businesses. Charlene mentors practitioners and clients, working alongside them to explore complex issues and concepts in order to create logical information structures, meaningful content and interactions that delight users.

    Ben is an online strategist and evangelist. That said he has significant experience in broader business and IT, and has focused on delivering broader strategy and touchpoint optimisation for DNA in recent years. Ben was a DNA team member for over five years, and now works for AIM Proximity in Wellington.

  • Sarah Gibbs

    Sarah is Managing Director of Trilogy natural Skincare. Sarah and Sister Catherine founded Trilogy in 2002 with a commitment to natural skincare and a passion for the environment. Today Trilogy is an established leader the natural skincare sector in Australasia, and is sold in Europe, UK and the US. Trilogy have built a great brand and a dedicated band of loyal staff and partners. Sarah spends much of her time travelling to develop markets for Trilogy’s ever growing range of products. Trilogy may be young but they are growing fast – they have featured in the Deloitte fast 50 for the majority of the last five years.

  • Hayden Vink

    Hayden has had a hands-on role in almost every aspect of web development, from interface design and programming to content development and high-level strategy. At DNA, Hayden managed DNA's Auckland-based Online team, and led DNA's online user experience practice. Hayden is now a Managing Partner at Tailor, an Auckland-based digital production house.

  • Frank Van Der Velden

    Frank has over 20 years experience as a chief executive for technology companies including long established companies requiring re-focusing and start-ups. Franks' career was founded in the corporate world of liquor in New Zealand and the oil industry in both the UK and New Zealand. He is a chartered accountant and member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

  • Charlie Ward

    Charlie came to New Zealand from Ireland via London and St Martin’s college of Art and Design. He has been winning awards internationally and inspiring businesses and consumers in New Zealand ever since with work for the likes of the All Blacks, Icebreaker and Telecom. Charlie has been a DNA team member for 10 + years.

  • Simon Coley

    Simon has been a well recognised Creative Director internationally, and on returning to New Zealand he has been sought by many New Zealand companies for brand, design thinking and product development leadership. Simon has been integral in the success of B_E_E and 42 below in NZ, and was heavily involved in establishing NZTE’s Better by Design programme. He is currently one of the brains behind Powershop and the wave of organic fair-trade bananas hitting New Zealand stores for all good.

  • Aaron Carson

    Aaron joined DNA three years ago direct from his role as Marketing Manager at BurgerFuel. Prior to this he worked for and with some of New Zealand’s most dynamic brands in roles at radio 95bFM, Festival Records and Max TV. He has played in several bands including DeadFlowers, Thorazine Shuffle and The Larry Normans and is about to complete his first book of poetry.
