ACC – Levy consultation experience

Each year, ACC review and reset the levies they apply to businesses, vehicle owners and employees, for injury cover that is funded by the ACC scheme. ACC sought a framework for increased engagement with a more diverse range of New Zealanders.

With a commitment to capturing more informed submissions from more New Zealanders and businesses – ACC wanted to deliver an experience that would be more accessible and transparent than the legacy approach.

A highly visual interface helps users view submissions and contribute feedback. The site dynamically generates and updates live information, trends, data and insights for all users based on the growing body of public interaction throughout the consultation period.

Impact.

The project enabled the migration of the legacy process to a digital one – a radically more useful experience for the public. In simplifying the complex legacy process, the new platform enabled greater reach and saw significantly improved and more diverse input from businesses and the public.
